Ashish Handa is co- founder of the Futura Group. Ashish handles new business development for the Futura Group and spearheads the creation and development of any new business venture. He was responsible for starting the company’s oil & gas businesses and its entry into new geographies such as Central Asia and West Africa. He started his career as a technical consultant at RPG Telecom and furthered his career in IT at Pentasoft and Gujarat Info Petro Ltd. Ashish spent a few years in Gujarat State Petro Ltd; the state owned oil & gas company, with stints in several group companies including the company’s realization of the Science City project. In 2005, he set up his own venture - an IT consulting company in the US. He grew the company to a total strength of 250 IT consultant engineers, before merging the business into the newly formed Futura Group and returning to India.
Ashish is based in the group’s headquarter in Ahmedabad but travels frequently to Futura’s international offices. He has a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Gujarat University and an M.Sc in Information Technology. He has also completed a program from Harvard Business School in Real Estate Strategies for Successful Organizations. He is multilingual and speaks Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and English.
